KEISUZUKI's New Pursuit of “Semi-Couture” in Paris

atelier KEISUZUKI(Japan) opened the exhibition salon “KEISUZUKI salon de PARIS” in the Marais district of Paris for three days from September 30 to October 2, in conjunction with the Paris Collection. The concept of the salon is “a showroom to display new items and a salon for personal orders,” and the clothes are based on the new 25SpringSummer original collection, as well as the basic collection of custom-ordered items that are available at the Yokohama(Japan) Atelier Salon and at pop-ups in various locations. The store also offers personal orders of one piece at a time, as well as ready-to-wear orders from buyers. Designer Suzuki's collage art made by cutting and pasting waste paper and original fragrances are also available.

A showroom and atelier salon, it is “KEISUZUKI salon de PARIS”.

The idea of opening a store in Paris was conceived a year ago. atelier KEISUZUKI was founded in 2013 as a women's custom-order brand, and since then, they have been working on the idea that if the sense of beauty of each and every woman walking down the street is raised, “the view of the city where you live will become more elegant. If each woman's sense of beauty is enhanced, “the scenery of your city will become more elegant. For each person who creates that scenery, We have created silhouettes that stand taller when worn, and a sense of exuberance for each and every person who creates that view. The founder and designer Suzuki says, “We started by thinking about what we can do now in Paris. The concept of “an exuberant and beautiful silhouette like a wedding dress” was derived from his admiration and dreams of the “meticulous work and guiding principles of the times” that underpinned the elegant designs of Christian Dior, which was born in Paris in 1946. After much trial and error in designing a dress that would embody this concept, he converged on a custom-made style that offers a 360-degree silhouette balance, a combination of fabrics and forms, and semi-customization. The salon did not offer ready-to-wear items, but instead offered personalized orders and customized orders from buyers according to their tastes and preferences.

Unveiling of 2025 SpringSummer collection

The SS25 collection, which was displayed in a section of the salon space, was based on the theme of “the eternity of a moment that defied gravity and jumped up” and incorporated forms using the couture technique and elements reminiscent of wedding dresses in terms of materials and decorative themes. The SS25 collection was based on the theme of “Eternity, a moment of flight against gravity.

Dress-up style traditions and their updates

At the back of the store, past the entrance space, a room for the basic collection (a collection that is always available regardless of the season) is developed. What is impressive in this area is the assortment of coat dresses and spring coats available in different colors. It is fun to compare completely different looks in different materials and colors, such as Mikado, satin, and other glamorous materials. This standard series, which is familiar in Japanese department stores and pop-up shops, has received high praise from buyers who say, “”KEISUZUKI is a timeless occasion style that can be proposed to customers who seek authenticity and essence without being influenced by fast-paced trends. The buyers also highly appreciate the excellent products. The waiting time, which takes three months from the time of order, is also enjoyable.

“we want to update the concept of shopping for clothes, not only to deliver what we design as is, but also to make it easier for visitors, whether individuals or buyers, to incorporate it into their personal style.” says Suzuki.

Art that questions the “meaning” of meaning

Designer Suzuki says, “One day, I picked up envelopes and notes from the trash for burning paper, and cut and pasted them randomly. During the creation process, he says, he was in a constant battle with the voice in his head that kept asking, “What is the meaning of this? Why cut it into that shape? Why do we put that color on it? What meaning does it have? .

While there is a part of me that is not convinced that there is no meaning or usefulness to what he creates in this way, on the other hand, “What is left when the meaning is nullified and all meaning is removed?” He says that he wanted to give form to the idea of “what is left when you invalidate the meaning and remove all meaning.

He also developed an ambitious art series that questioned the meaning of meaning in the present age by reconstructing useless scrap wood.

Fragrance by KEISUZUKI

In addition, a made in Japan fragrance line, < by KEISUZUKI>, scheduled for release next spring, was also unveiled.

A sample was also unveiled. Four different fragrances are available, based on the theme of fragrance layering and essences that bring out the essential allure of the inner being. When you are in touch with nature and the mystery opens up within you, the tranquility on the outside was essential, but at the same moment, what you find on the inside can be passion, gratitude, dedication, contribution, and the strength to challenge the future,” said Ms. Suzuki. Mr. Suzuki said. We look forward to enjoying the fragrance series, which is themed on a journey toward one's inner essence, moving between the concrete and the abstract.

Also note the pop-up held in the 16th arrondissement.

Furthermore, on Saturday, October 5, the location was moved to the 16th arrondissement, where a pop-up event was held. The venue was jardin du I'llony PARIS, which has stores in Ashiya, Minami-Aoyama, and Paris, and this flower store in a quiet area attracted Parisians and Parisiennes who value their local connections. Surrounded by flowers, the try-on order event was even more spectacular than usual.
